Commission - The Corporate Slide

“Really, I think out of office meetings are a must in impressing clients, they show class and that we mean business”

The flippant remark had been made by Will Stone, one of the junior executives in the Sales department and it had caused Katie Bell, as his direct boss, to roll her eyes and let out a sigh.

“We’re not here to talk about the impact on your personal expenses Stone” she retorted

“Hey, I’m not just looking out for number one you know, I’ve got the best interests of the company at heart. If you ask me, if cuts are needed I'd start in the secretarial pool”

“Of course you would, you haven’t shut up about secretaries since I appointed Ruby to your department”

“I just think she’s a tad unnecessary, that’s all. We have far too many secretaries here, think of the money we could save if we shared them more efficiently”

“That is bullshit Stone and you know it! This wouldn’t even be a topic if I'd given you my secretary Debra would it? Who even invited you to this meeting anyway?”
